Tour Description:
Charter your own private longtail boat for 3 hours, starting from Koh Phi Phi Don. You’ll have the boat to yourself, which will be driven by our local captain. You have the option to make this a guided tour and learn more about the places you will visit, or for budget-savvy travellers you can go with the captain only. This tour follows a fixed route around the Koh Phi Phi Leh National Park, and we try to visit the following places: Monkey Beach, Viking Cave, Pileh Lagoon, Loh Samah Bay and Maya Bay. Snorkelling is included. *It’s not possible to guarantee all places can be visited.
Important, please read: You are able to decide how much time you would like to spend in each place and make reasonable alterations to the tour route such as spending more time snorkelling, or skipping the Monkey Beach. However it is not possible to plan your own tour route as this requires knowledge and experience of navigating around Koh Phi Phi. The role of the boat captain is to drive the boat and ensure your safety. We recommend taking this tour with a guide who will be able to communicate with you in English and explain about the places you are visiting, the boat captain will not be able to speak English other than very basic phrases. National Park Fees are not included and must be paid in cash during the tour. Not all locations are accessible on all days due to the nature of the Phi Phi Islands. This tour uses a regular longtail boat and it is not a luxury boat.
Tour times may vary slightly depending on the season, pickup times may or may not be factored into the advertised schedule and can vary based on your accommodation's location. The exact tour times will be confirmed via messaging app one day before the tour.
Do You Need a Tour Guide?
🚨 Longtail Boat Captains cannot speak English. Guided tours offer the best experience with a knowledgeable, licensed English-speaking guide who can provide detailed information about the sights. Unguided tours are more budget-friendly but are operated by local boat captains who can only speak very basic English, and will not be able to provide information about the places you visit.
Meeting Info:
Phi Phi Don: The meeting point for this tour is on Koh Phi Phi Don, near Tonsai Pier in town. The exact meeting point and time will be confirmed one day before the tour. If you stay in a resort outside of the town, please do not book this tour as you may not be able to check-in. Make sure your accommodation is within walking distance of Tonsai Pier before making a reservation. You can contact us if you are unsure. Please do not book if you are staying in Phuket or Krabi.

This tour will visit islands and beaches located within Thailands Noppharat Thara Mu Koh Phi Phi National Marine Park. Non-Thai citizens must pay an admission fee of 400 Thai Baht per adult and 200 Baht per child. This fee, set by the Thai government, is not included in the tour cost and must be paid in cash during the tour. The places we visit are dynamic. All published times, routes, and schedules are approximate and subject to change without prior notice due to seasonal factors, weather conditions, sea conditions, and tides.
Spend three hours cruising around Koh Phi Phi Leh, a short boat ride away from Koh Phi Phi Don. We intend to make stops at Monkey Beach, Viking Cave, Loh Samah Bay and Maya Bay. However it is not guaranteed we can see all locations on all tours. There is only one time slot available for the 3 hour private boat from 09:00am until midday. Please consider a 4 hour charter or longer if you prefer a different tour time.

Refunds and Cancellations:
You can cancel shared tours for free up to 24 hours before midnight of the tour date, and private tours for free up to 48 hours before. Cancellations are accepted for any reason. Outside of this time frame, full payment is required, and no refunds will be given, even for sickness or missed connections. It's recommended to have travel insurance for these situations.

All our tours are considered outdoor activities and do not get cancelled due to rain. Tours will be cancelled only if sea conditions, wave heights, or sea swell are deemed as unsafe by the National Parks Departments. If the tour is operating as normal but you choose to cancel outside of the agreable period then no refunds will be issued.

The minimum age to partake in any of our tours is three (3) years old. Our tours are not suitable for infants. The maximum age is seventy years old. Those aged between sixty and seventy must have their own travel insurance. All travellers must be in good physical health. Pregnant individuals, those with heart or back problems, are not permitted to book any tours - no exceptions. Travellers with disabilities needing assistance should contact us before booking to ensure suitability.
Travel Insurance:
All tours sold by Phi Phi Island Tours Company include standard accident insurance as required by Thai Law. The provided insurance meets all legal requirements, although coverage is limited to catastrophic events. It does not protect against personal injuries, damage to personal belongings, or cancellations due to illness. We strongly recomend that travellers obtain their own travel insurance for additional coverage. Safety Wing Thailand is our recommended providor, allowing coverage to be purchased even during a trip.

We ask that travellers keep an open mind when booking tours in this region, it's important to understand that some things are out of our control. We cannot control the weather, if you're travelling in the rainy season; rain is expected. We cannot control the animals, there is no guarantee you will see Reef Sharks, Turtles, Monkeys, Glowing Plankton or any other creature. We cannot control other people; our tours visit popular destinations and crows are expected, especially during the peak season months. We cannot control the tides or the ocean, and on occasion some locations will be inaccessible.
Maya Bay
During this tour, we may visit Maya Bay in the National Park. The beach access to Maya Bay can be closed without notice, especially in August and September, but it can happen on any day. Unfortunately, we have no control over this, so refunds will not be given if Maya Bay is closed. If the beach access is closed, we can still see the beach from the boat but cannot disembark.
Pileh Lagoon
This tour visits Pilleh Lagoon, when possible. The Lagoon is only accessible when the tide is high enough to enter. During low tides, the entrance is sealed off and boats cannot access it.
