Beat the crowds to Maya Bay! This once in a lifetime tour lets you experience “The Beach” in the most unique way possible; before anyone else gets there! This tour is run by independent locals on Phi Phi Island - these are people who know the islands better than anyone. And because we depart directly from Phi Phi Island, we are usually the first boat to reach Maya Bay!
At check-in right before sunrise on Koh Phi Phi Don, guests will meet the boat crew and enjoy light snacks like Thai Donuts and Hot Coffee. Detailed meeting information and times will be confirmed after booking, guests are required to stay overnight on Koh Phi Phi the night before.
We depart from Koh Phi Phi Don on a modern, comfortable, and fast speedboat, heading to Koh Phi Phi Leh Island, just a short 20-minute ride away. Most days, we can set foot on Maya Bay Beach while the sand is still flat from the night before. On dates when beach access is restricted, we can still view Maya Bay from the front of the bay. National Park Fees are included in this tour, so there are no additional fees to see Maya Bay!
After we’ve finished at Maya Bay, (when the other boats begin to arrive)! We have some more places to show you. We will also visit the Viking Cave, the Monkey Beach, Loh Samah Bay and Pileh Lagoon. Please note that the lagoon is only accessible during high tides, so we may not be able to visit every day. Snorkeling is also included and equipment is provided, you will have the chance to see parrot fish, reef sharks and more!
Phi Phi Don: The meeting point for this tour is on Koh Phi Phi Don, near Tonsai Pier in town. The exact meeting point and time will be confirmed one day before the tour. If you stay in a resort outside of the town, please do not book this tour as you may not be able to check-in. Make sure your accommodation is within walking distance of Tonsai Pier before making a reservation. You can contact us if you are unsure. Please do not book if you are staying in Phuket or Krabi.
This tour will visit islands and beaches located within Thailands' Hat Noppharat Thara Mu Koh Phi Phi National Marine Park. The National Park fee is already included in the price. This means you do not need to pay anything more during the tour. The usual admission rate for Non-Thai citizens is 400.00 Thai Baht per adult and 200.00 Baht per child.
The specified locations are provided as points of reference for the destinations we intend to visit. Not all locations are accessible on all dates due to seasonal influences like weather conditions, tide levels, or National Park Regulations, which might render some locations hazardous, inaccessible, or off-limits. We strive to show you as much as possible, but we must emphasize the itinerary is adaptable and will be altered in accordance with seasonal demands.
The places we visit are dynamic. All published times, routes, and schedules are approximate and subject to change without prior notice due to seasonal factors, weather conditions, sea conditions, and tides.
You’ll need to stay overnight on Koh Phi Phi Don before the Early Bird Tour, this is because we leave around 6:30 in the morning. Way before any boats have had a chance to get across from the mainland!
We check in near to Tonsai Pier, however the exact meeting time and location will be shared after booking. Tea, Coffee and a light breakfast are provided before we set off to Koh Phi Phi Leh.
Maya Bay is the highlight of Koh Phi Phi, and first stop on the Early Bird Tour. We have a unique glimpse of the beach before the crowds have begun to arrive from nearby Phuket. A very peaceful experience. The National Park admission fees are included in the cost of this tour, so you don’t need to pay any extra at Maya Bay. We usually stay around one hour and you’ll see the sand still flat from the night before. On most days we are able to exit the boat and explore around the beach, however on some dates the National Parks may restrict beach access for environmental protection reasons, in which case we can see the beach from inside the bay.
There is way more to the Early Bird Tour than just Maya Bay. We also included snorkeling at some epic locations like Loh Samah Bay, plus were able to see the Viking Cave, look for the local monkeys at ‘Monkaye Beach’ and we’ll also visit Pileh Lagoon, if the tide allows.
At 10:30 the tour ends and we return back to Koh Phi Phi Don, (just as the islands start to fill up with day trippers from the mainland)! You’re able to spend more time in Koh Phi Phi, but there are also speed boats and ferries leaving the island for Phuket or Krabi if you’re continuing your travels.
All tours include drinking water and life jackets are provided on all boat tours.
