Start your tour in Khao Lak and visit Thailand's hidden gem, the Similan Islands. The name originates from the Malaysian word ‘Sembilan’ , which means nine. There are nine islands inside the Koh Similan National Park, this tour visits four of them, including Similan Island Number 8 where the famous sail rock viewpoint is located. Similan islands 1 to 3 are permanently closed to tourism, as there are protected Turtle species who lay eggs on these islands.

There is a high chance of seeing turtles in the Similan Islands, while snorkelling. However it is not something we can guarantee. Snorkelling is included in this tour.

The tour lasts for an entire day, and the travel to and from the Similan Islands is with Speedboat. Approximately 1.5 Hours each way by boat. A packed lunch is included, along with round trip hotel transfers, and the National Park Fee is included too, this means you save 500 Baht as there is no extra to be paid.

Health and Age:

The minimum age to partake in any of our tours is three (3) years old. Our tours are not suitable for infants. The maximum age is seventy years old. Those aged between sixty and seventy must have their own travel insurance. All travellers must be in good physical health. Pregnant individuals, those with heart or back problems, are not permitted to book any tours - no exceptions. Travellers with disabilities needing assistance should contact us before booking to ensure suitability.

Travel Insurance:

All tours sold by Phi Phi Island Tours Company include standard accident insurance as required by Thai Law. Reasonable Expectations:

We ask that travellers keep an open mind when booking tours in this region, it's important to understand that some things are out of our control. We cannot control the weather, if you're travelling in the rainy season; rain is expected. We cannot control the animals, there is no guarantee you will see Reef Sharks, Turtles, Monkeys, Glowing Plankton or any other creature. We cannot control other people; our tours visit popular destinations and crowds are expected, especially during the peak season months. We cannot control the tides or the ocean, and on occasion some locations will be inaccessible.

Meeting Info:

Please take a moment to ensure the start location of a tour that matches the location you’ll be staying. For tours which start on Koh Phi Phi, you must arrange your own transport and accommodation to the island. Phi Phi and Phuket are not the same place. If you stay in Phuket please do not book tours which start on Phi Phi. Refunds are not provided for reservations booked with an incorrect start location.

Do You Need a Tour Guide?:

Longtail Boat Captains cannot speak English. Guided tours offer the best experience with a knowledgeable, licensed English-speaking guide who can provide detailed information about the sights. Unguided tours are more budget-friendly but are operated by local boat captains who can only speak very basic English, and will not be able to provide information about the places you visit.

Low Tides:

We cannot access all locations on all days. We can't control the sea, we cannot control nature, and the national park has the final say. If we cannot access Pileh Lagoon due to low tides, no refunds are given.
