Khao Lak is the closest place to stay for the Similan Islands, and this Sawanu Travel tour picks you up from your Khao Lak hotel for the short drive to Thap Lamu Pier. The premium speed catamaran gives a smoother, more stable crossing to Mu Ko Similan National Park, home to some of the clearest water in Thailand.

There is snorkelling over coral reefs at Island No. 9, Koh Ba-Ngu, and Island No. 7, Koh Payu, where you may see tropical fish and, with luck, sea turtles, and lunch at a local restaurant on Island No. 4, Koh Miang, with time on its beach.
The tour includes hotel transfers from Khao Lak, a certified English-speaking guide, Similan national park fees, lunch, snorkelling equipment with a new mouthpiece, drinks and snacks on board, life jackets and travel insurance. The Similan Islands are open from 15 October to 15 May each year.
Please note: the order of the stops, and sometimes the stops themselves, can change on the day with the weather, the tides and sea conditions. Your guide always chooses the safest and best route for the day.

Tours will be cancelled only if sea conditions, wave heights, or sea swell are deemed as unsafe by the National Parks Departments. If the tour is operating as normal but you choose to cancel outside of the agreeable period then no refunds will be issued.

The provided insurance meets all legal requirements, although coverage is limited to catastrophic events. Buy Travel Insurance for ThailandWe ask that travellers keep an open mind when booking tours in this region, it's important to understand that some things are out of our control. We cannot control the weather, if you're travelling in the rainy season; rain is expected. We cannot control the animals, there is no guarantee you will see Reef Sharks, Turtles, Monkeys, Glowing Plankton or any other creature. We cannot control other people; our tours visit popular destinations and crowds are expected, especially during the peak season months. We cannot control the tides or the ocean, and on occasion some locations will be inaccessible.
Please take a moment to ensure the start location of a tour that matches the location you'll be staying. For tours which start on Koh Phi Phi, you must arrange your own transport and accommodation to the island. Phi Phi and Phuket are not the same place. If you stay in Phuket please do not book tours which start on Phi Phi. Refunds are not provided for reservations booked with an incorrect start location.
Longtail Boat Captains cannot speak English. Guided tours offer the best experience with a knowledgeable, licensed English-speaking guide who can provide detailed information about the sights. Unguided tours are more budget-friendly but are operated by local boat captains who can only speak very basic English, and will not be able to provide information about the places you visit.
We strive to visit all the locations mentioned; however, it is not always possible, and we cannot guarantee that we will visit every location each day. We cannot control nature or the sea—low tides may prevent access to certain places like Pileh Lagoon, and sea conditions might sometimes require us to skip a spot for safety reasons. Kindly understand that no refunds can be offered if we are unable to visit a specific location.
