See the Phi Phi Islands and Bamboo Island on Sawanu Travel's speed catamaran tour from Khao Lak, with hotel transfers from Khao Lak included on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. A minivan takes you to Sawanu's lounge at Royal Phuket Marina, and the premium speed catamaran gives a smoother, more stable ride than a standard speedboat.
The day includes Maya Bay, where The Beach was filmed, a swim in the emerald water of Pileh Lagoon, the cliffs at Viking Cave and the monkeys of Monkey Beach, snorkelling over coral and lunch on Phi Phi Don, and time on the long white beach of Bamboo Island.
The tour includes hotel transfers from Khao Lak, a certified English-speaking guide, national park fees, lunch, snorkelling equipment with a new mouthpiece, drinks and snacks on board, life jackets and travel insurance.
Please note: the order of the stops, and sometimes the stops themselves, can change on the day with the weather, the tides and sea conditions. Your guide always chooses the safest and best route for the day.
This is a shared tour aboard modern aluminium speed catamarans, such as Lexi (34 pax capacity) or Fernnie (66 pax capacity). Boat allocation depends on daily bookings to guarantee generous seating and comfort.
This tour includes a certified English-speaking tour guide who accompanies guests throughout the day.
Snorkeling equipment and individual new mouthpieces are provided for snorkeling stops at Phi Phi Don and Bamboo Island.
A buffet lunch featuring Thai dishes, steamed rice, seafood tomyum, chicken dishes, and stir-fried vegetables is served at a beachfront restaurant on Phi Phi Don Island. Light snacks, fresh fruits, drinking water, coffee, and tea are also provided onboard.

Maya Bay is a sheltered cove on Phi Phi Leh island featuring clear turquoise water and towering limestone cliffs. Visitors can walk along the white sand beach and view the landscape made famous by the film The Beach.
Pileh Lagoon is a secluded cove enclosed by towering limestone cliffs on the uninhabited island of Phi Phi Leh. Visitors typically swim and snorkel in the shallow turquoise water.
Viking Cave is located at the base of a limestone cliff on Phi Phi Leh island in southern Thailand. Visitors on boat tours can view prehistoric wall paintings inside the cave and see the traditional harvesting of swiftlets nests used for bird's nest soup.
This stretch of sand on Phi Phi Leh is known for its population of wild long-tailed macaques. Visitors can see the animals from the boat or swim in the clear coastal waters.
Phi Phi Don Island is the largest island in the Phi Phi archipelago and features twin curved bays flanked by limestone cliffs. Visitors typically stop here to swim in the clear water, walk along the sandy beaches, and eat lunch at the local village.

All reservations are non-refundable if canceled by the customer, unless the cancellation is requested with at least 2 days notice (50% refund, or a full refund with 30 or more days notice). We strongly advise that the customer has their own travel insurance policy in case the customer needs to cancel the tour at the last-minute due to medical reasons. Customer complaints will be taken seriously but shall not be cause to receive a refund. If the tour is cancelled by the operator due to safety concerns the guest will receive a full refund - tours are not cancelled due to rain. Please ensure that you read and understand the cancellation policy before making a reservation.

Tours will be cancelled only if sea conditions, wave heights, or sea swell are deemed as unsafe by the National Parks Departments. If the tour is operating as normal but you choose to cancel outside of the agreeable period then no refunds will be issued.
Read the Full Weather PolicyThe minimum age to partake in any of our tours is three (3) years old. Our tours are not suitable for infants. The maximum age is seventy years old. Those aged between sixty and seventy must have their own travel insurance. All travellers must be in good physical health. Pregnant individuals, those with heart or back problems, are not permitted to book any tours - no exceptions. Travellers with disabilities needing assistance should contact us before booking to ensure suitability.
All tours sold by Phi Phi Island Tours Company include standard accident insurance as required by Thai Law. The provided insurance meets all legal requirements, although coverage is limited to catastrophic events. It does not protect against personal injuries, damage to personal belongings, or cancellations due to illness. We strongly recommend that travellers obtain their own travel insurance for additional coverage. Safety Wing Thailand is our recommended provider, allowing coverage to be purchased even during a trip.

We cannot control the weather, if you're travelling in the rainy season; rain is expected. We cannot control the animals, there is no guarantee you will see Reef Sharks, Turtles, Monkeys, Glowing Plankton or any other creature. We cannot control other people; our tours visit popular destinations and crowds are expected, especially during the peak season months. We cannot control the tides or the ocean, and on occasion some locations will be inaccessible.
Please take a moment to ensure the start location of a tour that matches the location you'll be staying. For tours which start on Koh Phi Phi, you must arrange your own transport and accommodation to the island. Phi Phi and Phuket are not the same place. If you stay in Phuket please do not book tours which start on Phi Phi. Refunds are not provided for reservations booked with an incorrect start location.
Longtail Boat Captains cannot speak English. Guided tours offer the best experience with a knowledgeable, licensed English-speaking guide who can provide detailed information about the sights. Unguided tours are more budget-friendly but are operated by local boat captains who can only speak very basic English, and will not be able to provide information about the places you visit.
We strive to visit all the locations mentioned; however, it is not always possible, and we cannot guarantee that we will visit every location each day. We cannot control nature or the sea—low tides may prevent access to certain places like Pileh Lagoon, and sea conditions might sometimes require us to skip a spot for safety reasons. Kindly understand that no refunds can be offered if we are unable to visit a specific location.
